High-Performance Convection Rework System
At the core of the rework station is a high-efficiency convection oven designed to deliver precise, controlled heat for both component removal and reflow. By directing hot air uniformly across the target area, the system achieves rapid thermal transfer while minimizing exposure to surrounding components and sensitive substrates. This ensures fast, reliable rework with minimal thermal stress, reducing the risk of damage and maintaining board integrity during even the most demanding reflow or desoldering operations.

Sniper III Vision Rework System: Precision Meets Performance
The Sniper III Split Vision Rework Station combines advanced closed-loop energy reflow control with state-of-the-art optical alignment technology to deliver absolute precision in reworking ultra-fine pitch devices, micro BGAs, QFPs, CSPs, and even large ceramic or plastic BGAs. By continuously measuring heated air temperature and ensuring flawless alignment, it provides unmatched accuracy and reliability. Pneumatic control automatically positions components while the Vertical Placement Drive (VPD) orients them perfectly to the contact land pattern, and the Venturi Vacuum Pick-Up system securely supports each device during alignment before releasing it with a snap for flawless placement. Together, these features reduce errors, protect sensitive components, and maximize throughput, making the Sniper III the ultimate solution for today's demanding rework challenges.

DABIS Prism Alignment System
The DABIS Prism Alignment System provides unmatched precision by allowing the component's contact array to be viewed from underneath and superimposed over the PCB's contact land pattern for perfect alignment. Precision micrometers fine-tune lead patterns while the camera's zoom and focus simplify setup and ensure comfortable, accurate viewing on the monitor. The Dichroic Alignment Beam Image Spitter (DABIS), a modern refinement of split-prism imaging, enhances clarity and repeatability, streamlining alignment even during continuous operation. With the flexibility to view a wide range of components without additional setup—and the option to insert the Macro Imager 7000-2500 for large components—the system adapts seamlessly to diverse applications. For final placement, the reinforced Vertical Placement Drive (VPD) delivers stable, precise positioning with adjustable Z-axis pressure sensing, ensuring delicate components are placed with absolute accuracy and protection.

Rotary/Staged Vacuum Board Holder
The Sniper III is equipped with a standard 12" x 16" (305 x 406 mm) vacuum-actuated board holder that glides smoothly into position for quick and accurate setup. Precision micrometers allow fine adjustments along the X- and Y-axis, while the rotary/staged feature provides "Theta" control for precise component alignment. Optional extender kits expand versatility, accommodating both smaller and larger boards—up to 16" x 18" (406 mm x 457 mm)—and supporting everything from micro BGAs to high pin-count ceramic CBGAs.

On-Board Computer & Profile Control
Designed for efficiency, the Sniper III is operated from its built-in computer via an integral keypad, while the onboard PID controller automatically managers the heaters to deliver precise, repeatable results. A PC running Graphical Display Window (GDW) software is always connected to the onboard computer, enabling you to create, edit, and generate an unlimited number of profiles and perform in-depth thermal data analysis. A four-input thermocouple bank provides accurate multi-point temperature profiling and real-time monitoring, and operators can store up to sixteen multi-segment (Ramp & Soak) profiles directly on the onboard computer for quick recall. PDF data logging is produced automatically, and the rework cycle shuts down on completion, reducing operator workload and ensuring consistent, efficient process control.
Customizable Rework Stations
All of our rework stations can be fully customized to match your specific requirements. Whether you need a larger PCB holder for oversized boards, prefer to eliminate the bottom heater, or want to adapt the system for a specialized process, we can tailor the configuration to suit your workflow. Our flexible design approach ensures that every station delivers exactly what you need.
