Trident XL LDO: Advanced PCB Cleaning & Defluxing

The Trident XL LDO is engineered for high-performance PCB cleaning and defluxing, making it ideal for large densely populated assemblies and low-standoff surface-mount (SMT) components. Its asymmetrical fan-jet spray system precisely diffuses wash solution and rinse water to targeted areas, delivering deep under-component penetration while an oscillating board rack eliminates shadowing for uniform, thorough cleaning. The system efficiently removes all flux types, including water-soluble, rosin, and no-clean, from SMT, through-hole, and mixed-technology assemblies, as well as fabrication residues and process contaminants, and it handles both eutectic (SnPb) and lead-free solder residues, either separately or within the same batch. An integrated on-board cleanliness tester continuously monitors and controls cleanliness levels in real time, automatically adjusting the process to ensure every board meets or exceeds programmed standards, delivering consistent, high-quality results with every cycle.

Intelligent Chemical Management & Real-Time System Monitoring

Trident’s automated chemical management system eliminates manual measuring, mixing, and handling of defluxing chemicals by precisely dosing and blending solutions automatically, ensuring consistent cleaning performance while reducing chemical waste and operator intervention. Operators can monitor estimated cycle completion time, cleanliness values, and operating temperatures in real time through an intuitive display, while built-in gauges provide instant status of water line, spray manifold, and pre-drain filter pressures. The system also features fluid level gauges and low-level alarms on both the wash solution tank and the stainless steel concentrated wash solution holding tank to prevent process interruptions. To simplify maintenance, Trident’s reminder software tracks usage counts for critical components and automatically alerts operators when service is required, with counters turning red once administrator-defined cycle limits are reached to support proactive maintenance and optimal system performance.

Trident XL LDO’s Statistical Process Control (SPC) data recording delivers complete process traceability by automatically capturing cleaning program names, cycle times, temperatures, and both set and actual cleanliness levels, along with other critical performance metrics. This comprehensive data collection ensures consistent cleaning results, supports compliance requirements, and strengthens quality assurance across every batch. SPC data can be viewed in real time on the system display, printed to a networked printer, or securely exported via USB or network connection for seamless integration with quality management and reporting systems.
