The SDM121 Motorized PCB Depaneler is a high-performance solution designed for clean, stress-free separation of pre-scored PCBs. Featuring a motorized circular blade that cuts against a fixed linear blade, it delivers precise, burr-free results while minimizing stress that can lead to solder joint cracking or PCB delamination. It can handle boards with components placed as close as 1 mm from the score line and allows for accurate separation of both small and large boards—even those with overhanging components. A quick-look system makes blade changes easy when adjusting for different board thicknesses, and the use of hardened tool steel ensures a long service life.

Operator safety and ease of use are key strengths of the SDM121. The machine is equipped with three optical safety sensors and blade safety guards, creating a secure working environment. A full-function front control panel allows operators to easily adjust separation settings, including four selectable speeds and digital readout of the separating length via an LED display. The adjustable height of both the circular and linear blades adds further flexibility, making the SDM121 an ideal solution for low-maintenance, high-precision depaneling in medium- to high-volume production environments.

Operation is simple: the blades are aligned to the score line, the blade height is locked, and a depaneling speed is chosen. When the operator activates the foot switch, the topside circular blade moves automatically along the v-groove, providing a smooth, burr-free cut without operator guidance. The large processing table can be angled to allow separated PCBs to fall away from the cutter. For safety, the circular blade is shielded by shatterproof Plexiglas while light sensors halt the blade immediately if an obstruction is detected.

SDM121 is suited for medium to high-volume production. A maximum component height of 32 mm provides sufficient clearance for most through-hole components and virtually all SMDs. The SDM121 is available with 445 mm (17.5") or 483 mm (19") maximum cutting length. Cut length is fully programmable; programmed length is displayed on an LED readout.
