KIC Wave Surfer Profiling Fixture for Thermal Profiling

The KIC® Wave Surfer™ is a self-contained system designed to ensure optimal wave solder machine setup and performance. Working in conjunction with your KIC profiler and software, it provides critical data to obtain an accurate efficient thermal profile.

Utilizing KIC’s award-winning software, the system offers an easy, accurate, and repeatable process. The software graphically guides users through each step to acquire a profile and, if desired, optimize the process. Once profiling is complete, the system generates a graph and report displaying key parameters, including user-defined preheat data, Process Window Index, peak preheat temperatures, ramp rates, measured conveyor speed, dwell time, and other process values.

The KIC Wave Surfer™ package includes the Wave Surfer fixture with embedded thermocouples, two sample PCBs (light and heavy), five self-adhesive Type K thermocouples, KIC software, and a user manual with a dedicated section on using the Wave Surfer with a KIC thermal profiler. The thermal profiler is not included. Manncorp recommends the KIC K2 7- or 9- channel thermal profiler for optimal performance.

Designed for durability, the Wave Surfer fixture is constructed from materials similar to wave solder pallets, allowing it to withstand thousands of passes through your wave soldering machine.
