Manncorp’s proprietary design combines high-mass heat sources and efficient thermal heat transfer, ensuring a uniform heat gradient and exceptional process stability, even when posed with varying loads.
Higher temperatures and a tighter process window for lead-free reflow soldering narrow your margin for error. To accommodate this, our convection reflow ovens provide medium- and high-volume manufacturers with reliable solutions.
Precise Temperature Profiling
The CR10000’s heating zone temperature controllers can boast an accuracy of ±1°C and a ΔT of ±2°C across the PCB assembly due to the high-speed blower adjacent to each heat source. We guarantee maximum convection, and our diffuser design provides you with low-velocity, low-turbulence airflow to eliminate component shift and disturbance.
Our independent upper and lower PID temperature controls provide you with precision control over temperature profiles. Optional thermocouples can also be attached at critical locations on the PCB, then connected to standard built-in inputs on the oven for communication with onboard CR Series control software, providing you with accurate, real-time temperature profiling matching any solder paste manufacturers’ specifications.
Not only do our CR10000s eliminate the possibility of jams or dropped PCB assemblies through high-quality, high-strength stainless steel construction, they are also built to maintain dimensional tolerances at high lead-free processing temperatures.
This unit is supplied with an adjustable-rail, pin-type conveyor system handling PCBs up to 450 mm (17.7”) installed over a 570 mm (22”) stainless steel mesh belt as standard. Our pin conveyor permits inline and double-sided processing while our mesh belt is ideal for fast changeovers. No matter which option you utilize, the conveyor speed is programmable from 400-1800 mm (16”-71”) per minute, accommodating any process requirement.
Also standard are advanced automatic chain lubrication and motorized with adjustment. Optional features include automatic pin conveyor width adjustment based on parameter settings for specific reflow programs and a center support system for the prevention of board warpage when processing larger PCBs at higher lead-free temperatures.
Critical Internal Water Cooling Rates
Aggressive cooling is often required to reduce peak temperature exposure times for the higher liquid temperatures required by lead-free solders that approach the limits of many SMT components and PCB assemblies. Recent studies also show that cooling rates have significant effects on solder joint grain structure.
The CR10000’s internal water-chilled recirculating cooling system allows you to alter cooling rates to meet solder paste manufacturer recommendations at a far higher degree than would be possible with only air cooling.
Process Management Capabilities
Our CR10000s allow you to accomplish operation and control of all reflow systems utilizing an attractive, easily navigated visual interface featuring a full-screen virtual view of the system with preset and actual zone temperatures, system statuses, and conveyor speeds displayed.
Take advantage of advanced temperature profiling, timed automatic startup and shutdown, audiovisual alarms, and password protection functions.
Our PC controllers feature a Windows-based operating system with unlimited storage and networking capabilities along with a 15” flat screen monitor, keyboard, trackball, and UPS battery backup to ensure the safe removal of all product from the oven in the event of a power outage.
Nitrogen Atmosphere Compatible
As an option, we can provide manufacturers who want to be able to solder in both air and inert reflow atmosphere environments with a nitrogen-compatible configuration of the CR10000. Experts concur that oxygen reduction through the introduction of an inert gas (such as N2) allows a wider process window and can provide better solder joints thanks to reduced oxidation. Our heating chambers’ enhanced flow design lends itself to efficient heat transfers and ensures low nitrogen consumption while maintaining O2 levels between 300 and 1000 ppm in our nitrogen-compatible systems.
